Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results.
Have you ever wondered if you could express tags? If you haven’t then, just imagine using tags like
for assigning a logo to your web page, or using tag
and so on. Wouldn’t it be better if your could use the
tag without using multiple id’s such as a wrapper or container, and rather use
directly. Simply put, instead of using
you can simply use
. This is where HTML6 comes in.
HTML6 is sixth revision of HTML with namespaces that has structure like XML. XML namespaces will help you use the same tag without conflicting it with any other tag. For instance the one used in the XHTML DOCTYPE:
The Internet is constantly evolving — it's hard to believe rickrolling is six years old, Internet Explorer 6 is twelve years old, and CSS is nearing the public release of version 4.
So what's new in CSS4? I've taken a look through the entire CSS4 spec, hand-picking the best parts. Here are just a few of them.
CSS 3 is still slowly making its way onto the web, but the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the governing body that oversees the development of web standards, is already plotting the future of CSS with CSS 4. The W3C recently released the first draft of CSS 4, adding dozens of new rules to make web developers’ lives easier.
The CSS 4 spec is brand new and no web browser actually supports any of these rules yet, but if you’re curious what the next few years will mean for CSS, the first draft offers a sneak peek at what’s in store for web developers.
IE10 and above added support for the ‘cut’ and ‘copy’ commands through the Document.execCommand() method. As of Chrome version 43, these commands are also supported in Chrome.
Any text selected in the browser when one of these commands is executed will be cut or copied to the user’s clipboard. This lets you offer the user a simple way to select a portion of text and copy it to the clipboard.
This becomes extremely useful when you combine it with the Selection API to programmatically select text to determine what is copied to the clipboard, which we’ll be looking at in more detail later on in this article.
There are two paradigms where cryptography is most useful for businesses:
- Network communications
- Storing sensitive information
Encrypting network communications is absolutely essential to the security of anyone who wishes to use your website or application. The standard and most reliable form of network encryption is called Transport Layer Security (TLS), which was preceded by and older standard called Secure Socket Layer (SSL).
